Your Wallet Deserves Care.
Aura protects your keys on your device. A few careful habits help protect everything those keys can access.
Your keys belong to you
Aura creates and encrypts your wallet keys on your device. Transactions are signed locally. Your recovery phrase is never sent to Aura.
Control wallet access
Protect your wallet with a passcode and unlock with supported biometrics. Choose an automatic lock timer in Settings.
Keep an encrypted backup
Save a password protected backup in your own iCloud or Google Drive. Store its password safely and separately.
RECOVERY
Keep Your Phrase Private.
Your recovery phrase can restore your wallet. Anyone who has it can access your funds, even without your phone or passcode.
Write it down and store it somewhere secure. Never share it with support, enter it on a website, or send it in a message. Aura support will never ask for it.
Aura cannot recover a lost phrase or reverse a confirmed transaction. Make sure you have a usable backup before removing a wallet or changing devices.

Cloud backup is optional. Aura encrypts the backup before uploading it to your cloud storage. Restoring it requires the backup password you chose.
Protect your cloud account with a strong password and two step verification. Keep a separate, secure copy of your recovery phrase in case you lose access to the cloud account.

Check the full recipient address, network, amount and fee. For a new recipient, consider sending a small amount first.
An unfamiliar transfer may be spam or an attempt to trick you into copying a similar address. Get the address from your recipient instead of an unexpected transaction.
A verified badge identifies an asset in Aura’s token information. It is not a promise of safety or future value. Check the token contract and understand what you are buying.
PRIVACY
What Connects to the Network?
Aura uses public wallet addresses and transaction information to fetch balances, activity and swap routes. Network providers can see these requests. Blockchain transactions are public.
Your recovery phrase, private keys and passcode are not part of those requests. With cloud backup, the encrypted file goes to your selected cloud provider.
